Making your own signs can often save money, and even make the signs much more appealing and personal. Here are the materials you need! 

First some advice on materials and design

• Make sure your sign will remain smooth, flat and easy to read regardless of wheather conditions.
• Place your sign high enough above the ground. Ideal is two or three feet above ground level.  
• A rule of thumb is to choose a font one inch of height for each 25 feet distance that the signed will be viewed from.
