Design tips for your lawn and yard designs

  • Make it short!

The fewer words the better. The copy on a yard sign must be quick to read for passers-buy, who must catch the most important message with just one eye-sight.

  • Use large and bold fonts!

Choose a clean, bold and large font. Leave the fancy fonts to books and flyers, on a yard sign it must be very easy to read!

  • Color it!

Sure it should be pretty, but for a yard sign to stand out, you must use contrasty colors and easy-to-read color combinations. Don't use gray on green, however pretty you think it is. Use combinations like orange-on-blue or black-on-yellow.

  • Shape it!

If you can surpise the passer-buy, you've won. The shape of the lawn sign can certainly help. Make it an arrow, a heart, a puppy, a silhouette of an old woman, a wine glass, a bus, a rocket, ... Find yard sign materials here!

  • Size it!

The bigger the better. Imagine all the common types, the political yard signs, the house sales, the auction signs. If you make it larger than the common type, you will certainly be seen better.
